Resources on the Significance and Reality of Jesus
These programs are concerned with the fourth of four pillars of intellectual evangelization. They address skepticism about the significance and reality of Jesus. As noted on our homepage, many of our young people (and adults) have come to believe this secular myth which may be stated as follows: “If our moral life, prayer life, and Church community are all grounded in the teaching of Jesus Christ, how can I be sure that he even walked or talked on this earth? Why is Jesus more significant than any other prophet or wise man?”
This secular myth does not stand up to recent historical studies of the New Testament and to the intrinsic truth of Jesus’ teaching on love and the triune God. The evidence we present is quite compelling, and can maintain, defend, and advance the faith of people who may be influenced by this myth.
